People may do things which frustrate, hurt or anger you, or they may have nothing in common with you at all — but you can choose to see beyond these external factors and focus on the common humanity and mortality you both share. You are both souls in human bodies trying to navigate the world at this point in time in the best way you know how. Strive to accept and forgive other people whenever you can.

Your soul is your eternal essence — it’s who you really are underneath the chatter of your monkey mind, the social masks you wear, and the titles and roles you hold. Get in touch with your soul each week through meditation, writing a journal, spending time in nature, or making time to just sit and soak up the world without judgment for a few moments.
If you are not yet living your ideal life, make peace with this fact while you work towards your goals. If you struggle against each day, resenting each task you need to complete, it will drain all of your precious energy leaving nothing left in the tank to go after your dreams. Do things with a happy heart and a light-touch, and you will feel freer and more energised.
Many of us are scared of being vulnerable and authentic — of being seen for who we really are, weaknesses and all. It’s okay to be seen without all the pretences; without all your social masks. Regret, stress, and unhappiness are the byproducts of angry outbursts. Learn healthier ways to communicate your feelings, and when anger arises, step away until it dissipates.
The pleasure and positive memories afforded by great experiences far outweigh material things. If you’re trying to decide between the new sofa or the family trip, take the trip every time.
Save and plan for new adventures and meaningful experiences. Don’t just dream about them — make them happen.
One of the top five regrets of the dying is that they let their friendships fade away.
Friendships need time and attention. They need to be prioritized not just in word but in deed.
Nurture them like a prized garden. The payoff is so worth it.
Life Rule #67 – Failure is good
We try so hard to avoid failure, but failure is the real evidence that we’ve had the courage to try.
If you avoid failure, you avoid taking action. Expect and accept that failure is part of the experience. Learn from it, grow from it, and move on.
Life Rule #66 – Fun is underrated
How much of your day is fun? Really fun?
Life is short. You should enjoy it. Don’t make things serious that don’t have to be.
Create more fun in your life. Don’t worry about what other people think of your fun. Just enjoy it.
